Lunchtime Recital by SOCA member Gavin Phelps

As spring hopefully gathers in the air, Gavin Phelps will be giving the lunchtime recital at Wells Cathedral, where he is Junior Organ Scholar. He has chosen a popular and entertaining programme.
J.S. Bach – Prelude and Fugue in D major BWV 532
F. Bridge – Adagio in E major
J.S. Bach – Mvt. 1 ‘Adagio – Vivace’ from Sonata no.4 in E minor BWV 528
P. Yon – Humoresque “L’organo Primitivo” (Toccatina for flutes)
C. Franck – Choral No.1 in E major
The recital starts at 13.05 and finishes at 13.45. This could be the high point of a day out in Wells, which is worth a visit at any time.
