Organ for sale
I am selling my Rushworth & Dreaper continuo organ, which currently lives at Christ Church, Frome.
It has 8,4 and 2ft flutes, split at Middle C. A=440Hz. It is sweetly voiced, with a light action. Good for accompanying Gibbons, Byrd, Tomkins etc. Has also been used for continuo in Bach cantatas and Haydn Masses. Strong enough for leading congregational singing: I used it successfully for this while our pedal organ was being restored.
Since 2004 the organ has been cared for by Roger Taylor until his retirement, and currently by Harrison & Harrison.
Offers in the region of £7,500 please.
